Many a "Shared Story From My Mother's Rides to Work with Rutzie" and then Some

Linda, As you probably know my Mom always referred to Dick as Rutzie, and the things that stand out most in my mind were all the stories shared as a result of the period of time that they rode to together to work. I think my Mom thought Dick was in the Indianapolis 500 when he picked her up for work... There were even a few times that I was an additional passenger, however, when I got out of the car I would later say to my Mother, "I didn't understand a word he said". Believe all the stories were fun and full of humor. There was that one however, that my Mother wanted to strangle me, and that was during the time my Mom and I rode together and every Friday it seemed I would be sitting outside the front of the building waiting while she had to put together the weekly "What Went Right, What Went Wrong" Report. Well, we all know there was one day something went very wrong, and that was when Rutzie came to the window and gave me a big wave and smile, and I responded with a not so nice gesture! Of course I was much younger and immature back in those days. Anyway, that story would pop up occasionally over the years and I can still remember my Mother's outrage at me for having done such a thing to her good friend and Boss. Then of course I always got the wonderful updates when Mom and Dave were still going to Florida and would visit, along when you would return to Ct and again there would be more visits.
