Obituary for John G. Permatteo

John G. “Jack” Permatteo, 74, of West Suffield, beloved husband of Frances (Falkowski) Permatteo for over 44 years, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. Jack was born in Boston, the son of the late Herbert and Cecile (Perrier) Permatteo and lived in Suffield most of his life. He was employed at Hamilton Standard for 27 years, and retired from ADT after 15 years. He was a very active member of the community, as member of the Suffield Republican Town Committee, Suffield Tax Appeals Board, former President of the Suffield Jaycees, and also was a Justice of the Peace. Jack also enjoyed spending time with his family. Besides his loving wife Frances, he is survived by his daughter Carrie and her husband Todd Maksymiw of West Suffield, and two grandchildren Kristen and Todd Jr. He was predeceased by a sister, Bette Cosgrove. Funeral Services will be Monday, April 22, at 9AM from The Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield; with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church 140 South Main Street, Suffield, at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield. Friends may call at The Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday, April 21, from 2-5pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: The Felician Adult Day Center, 1333 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT 06082, or The Suffield Senior Center, 145 Bridge Street, Suffield, CT 06078.
