Mitchell C. Turek, 88, of Suffield, beloved husband of Viola Turek, passed away on August 19, 2009. Born on May 24, 1921, in Suffield, he was the son of the late Anthony and Catherine (Gogulski) Turek. Mitch was in the U.S. Air Force before working as Plant Manager at Albany Engineering Systems for over 25 years. Mitch enjoyed many sports; he was an avid golfer, Yankee's fan and coached his son's Suffield Little League for many years. Besides his wife Viola, Mitchell leaves behind, two sons Michael Turek of Charlotte NC, and Paul Turek and Georgia London of West Springfield, MA. One brother Edmond Turek of Cincinnati Ohio. Three Grandchildren Jennifer Grenier, Michael Turek Jr. and Sharon Pouliot. And two great grandsons Connor and Dylan Grenier. Mitch was predeceased by four brothers; Anthony Jr., Joseph, Frank, and John Turek. Friends and family may call to the Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road West Suffield, on Sunday August 23, from 2PM-4PM. Burial service is private.
