Joseph Alfred Lawrence died peacefully April 13, 2009 in South Windsor. Born in Vermont Oct. 3, 1938 to the late George and Mary (Latourneau) Lawrence he resided most of his life in Manchester, Ct and most recently South Windsor. He was a U.S. Veteran and worked at Hamilton Standard for many years. Joe is survived by his daughter Joanne Reynolds and her husband Jeff of Bristol, son Rupert Lawrence and his wife Laurieann of Suffield, and his other daughter Michelle Walter and her husband Tony of Manchester. Joe leaves behind eight grandchildren, Robert and Nicole Lawrence, Dale Reynolds, Joseph, Jessica and Sydney Lawrence and Erica and Chloe Walter. He also leaves one great-granddaughter Victoria. In addition, he leaves his siblings, Richard, Ellen, Linda, John, Michael, Mark, Thomas, Peter, and Mary and many nieces and nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his three brothers Edward, Garry and his twin James. There will be a private memorial on Thursday. The family would like to express their gratitude toward the staff at Healthcare Center of South Windsor, especially Tracy and Stacy for all their compassionate care .
