Condolence: Rest in peace my friend I will always remember your smile. You had a heart bigger than your body and I'll never forget the way you welcomed my family and me into the neighborhood, you made us feel like we belonged and were always ready to lend a hand and asking for nothing in return. When I think of you I both laugh and cry. You will forever be missed. Smile down upon us and we will see you someday again.

I had the pleasure of meeting Steve and Betty many many years ago and no matter what when you run into them they are always smiling, having fun, and enjoying each other's company. The heavens have gained an awesome angel and we must hold him close to our hearts forever! RIP Steve - until we meet again.

Condolence From: Steven and Jean Dexter
Condolence: It was with shock and profound sadness that I read of the passing of my good friend Steve. We go back so far, as do all of his friends at Congamond Lake - fondly referred to as the "Sand Bar Crew". His kindness and generosity was unmatched. Every time we ran into each other at a store or the gas station or some other place in town, our conversations would end up lasting as much as an hour. He was passionate about his friends, his family, and saving/protecting the Congamond Lakes. Steve I will never, ever forget you. I am blessed to have known you for the past 35 years. The laughter we shared during summer days spent on the "sandbar" at Congamond Lake will forever be part of my soul. My deepest condolences to his wonderful wife and family. Unfortunately I will be out of state on business Friday and Saturday so my deepest sympathies are passed along here. I will never forget you my friend. Rest in peace. Steve Dexter

Condolence: My heart felt condolences to the entire Ayotte Family. I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news. Steve was a wonderful man ant truely enjoyed and appreiated by all. My Uncle Henry (Bucky) Fancher always enjoyed Steves friendship and help up to his final days on the lake. Steve and Company kept Henry coming back to the lake for 30 some years after his retirement from NASA. Steve always went the extra mile for every one and he will be sorely missed. I thank him for all he did for my family. Chuck Furey
