H. Ralph  Gelineau
H. Ralph Gelineau, 93, of Springfield, husband of the late Frances (Lucardi) Gelineau, passed away on February 19, 2017 at a local hospice center. Born on September 23, 1923 in Springfield, MA; son of the late Horace and Hildegarde (Pielke) Gelineau. Ralph lived in California, Rhode Island, Suffield, Connecticut and retired at Reeds Landing in Springfield, MA.
Ralph graduated from King’s Point Maritime Academy, and was employed with Bostitch, REVCO and Simon as Engineer and Sales Manager retiring after 40 years. Ralph was a WWII U.S. Merchant Marine Veteran, served as a Chief Radio Officer during WWII and Normandy D-Day and made numerous North Atlantic Crossings during WWII.
Ralph was an avid pilot, enjoyed classic car restoration, Watercolor Painting, a member of The Tobacco Valley Artists Assoc. and a Communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Suffield, CT.

He is survived by his two children Paul Gelineau of Tonasket, WA; and Susan Trefethen of Auburn, CA. Besides his wife of 43 years Frances; he was predeceased by his sister Claire Mullen of Reeds Landing, Springfield, MA.
