Jean Carter (Bartlet) Messenger, 92, of Suffield, formerly of Maine; beloved wife of Levester C. Messenger, passed away on December 30, 2016; peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Marjorie and Warren Bartlet, Jean graduated Valedictorian of her High School Class. She was employed as an Executive Secretary with Combustion Engineer, in Windsor, retiring in 1980.
Jean’s greatest joys were her family, reading, cooking, nature walks, bird watching and gardening.

Jean is survived by her beloved husband, Levester Messenger who were happily married for over 73-years; two sons Dale C. Messenger and his wife Randi of Parsonsfield, ME, and Bruce A. Messenger and his wife Jackie of Suffield, CT; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
