Margery A. Mills, 91, of West Suffield passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 11, at Hartford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Russell E. Mills for 67 years. Margery was born on October 24, 1924, the daughter of Buell and Elizabeth Goodsell.

Margery grew up in Springfield, MA, and married Russ in 1945. Together they settled on the family farm in Suffield and raised their 6 children. Marge was the perfect mother, taking care of her children’s needs above everything else. She was an accomplished homemaker, Girl Scout leader, 4-H leader, Grange Officer, Bridge Street School Teacher’s aide, and strong supporter of her children’s academic and sports accomplishments. Marge found great joy working with children, especially her grandchildren.

Margery is survived by her six children: Virginia and her husband Ronald Seaburg of Holland MA, and their children David and Eric. Russell Mills Jr. and his wife Christine of Suffield and their children Russell III, Joshua, Darcy, and Tracy. Barbara and her husband Brian Novak of East Windsor, CT and their son Jeffrey. Diana and her husband Matthew Sinnott of Granby, CT and their son Sean. Richard Mills and Debbie Fletcher of West Suffield, CT and his son Thomas. Tammy and her husband David Scott of Vancouver, WA and their sons Jordan and Ryan. Also, nine great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 17 at 6:00PM at The Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield CT. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4-7PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

A special thanks to the Suffield Mini-Bus, Hartford Hospital ICU, and The Conklin Hospice Staff for their expert and compassionate care.
