Obituary for Helen Christian (Klimaszewski)

Helen (Klimaszewski) Christian, 93, of West Suffield, Wife of the late Daniel Christian, Passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 in the comfort of her own home with her family at her side. Helen was born in West Suffield, the daughter of the late Julius and Anna (Bukrym) Klimaszewski, and lived in West Suffield all of her life. Helen graduated from the Suffield school system and The Teacher’s College of Connecticut, New Britain. She taught at The Suffield High School for 43 years. Helen served as Chairman of the Business Education Department at Suffield High School. She was on the Board of Directors of The Suffield Savings Bank, and served on the Board of The Suffield Ambulance Association. Helen is survived by her niece, Rita Abert of Springfield, MA; Beloved Godchild Elaine Bauchiero and her husband Frank, the loves of her life, Mary and Ann Bauchiero; a Special nephew Paul Christian and his wife Lorraine; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters. The Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 9am from the Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Rd., West Suffield; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Suffield at 10am.
