Obituary for Helen Rose Agli (DeAngelis)

Helen Rose (DeAngelis) Agli, 96, of Windsor Locks, wife of the late Charles Agli Sr., passed away on May 5, 2015 at Kimberly Hall Nursing Home. Born in Meriden, on April 24, 1919, daughter of the late Gennaro and Jennie (Borriello) DeAngelis, and graduated from Meriden High School. Helen raised her family and lived in Meriden for 60 years, moving to Bonita Springs, FL in 1979; where she lived until 1983 and she returned to Connecticut and lived in Windsor Locks. Helen’s life was about her family. She was devoted to the care of her husband, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a woman of great faith and trust in God. She was very generous in her help to others. Helen was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Windsor Locks for many years.
Helen is survived by her daughter Joan Anderson and her husband Robert of Naples, FL; two sons Charles Agli Jr and his wife Barbara of Windsor Locks, David Agli of Windsor Locks, six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters Carmela Rizza of GA, Mary Sioch of FL; one brother Gennaro DeAngelis of CA. Besides her husband of 39 years Charles Agli Sr., Helen was predeceased by six brothers Edward, Alfonso, Pasquale, Alfred, Louis and Frank DeAngelis; and three sisters Margaret Carta, Leah Giaccherini, and Evelyn Howell.
The funeral services and burial will be private. Helen’s family would like to thank Kimberly Hall for all her wonderful care.
