Obituary for Benjamin Russell "Ben" Hartley

Benjamin ‘Ben’ R. Hartley, 91, of Suffield, beloved husband of Mary (Galbraith) Hartley for over 64 years passed away on November 5, 2014. Born in Springfield on November 13, 1922, son of the late Benjamin and Ester (Wheeler) Hartley and lived in Suffield most all his life.
Ben was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII serving in the South Pacific. He was employed by Gerber Scientific in South Windsor Retiring in 1986. Ben and his wife Mary were members of The First Congregational Church in Suffield.
Ben is survived by his beloved wife Mary Hartley, several Cousins Ivy Heald of PA, Irene Jones of PA, and John and his wife Irene Hartley of Enfield; and a close family friend Claire Genero of Suffield.
The Funeral Service will be at The Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield on Saturday, November 22, at 11AM with Military Honors.
