Raymond W. Lingenfelter
Raymond W. Lingenfelter, 73, of Suffield, beloved husband of Sharen (King) for over 49 years, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013. Born on May 22, 1940 in Gloversville, NY son of the late Roger and Helen (Willard) Lingenfelter. He attended Broadalbin Central High School and then graduated from Hudson Valley Community College with an Associated Degree. Ray then graduated from Clarkson College of Technology in Potsdam, NY, with a Bachelors and Masters in Mechanical Engineering. Ray worked and traveled around the globe for Hamilton Standard for 36 years gaining the respect of his colleagues and peers, earning the affectionate title "Mr. Fuel Control". After leaving Hamilton Standard, Ray continued to work with B&E Tool in Southwick, MA as a consultant allowing him to continue his engagement of working with people around the world. When not at work, Ray took great pleasure in staying busy in his yard, tinkering with cars, walking his dog, and helping his children.
Ray was a member of The First Church of Christ in Suffield. He was an active member in his community and always looked forward to participating in Suffield parades driving his beloved 1956 Chevy Bel Air Convertible. Ray’s wife, children and grandchildren were the greatest pride and joy in his life. They enjoyed many road trips together, including traveling to NASCAR races.

Dianne and her husband Eric Remington of Suffield, and their children Thomas, Paige, and Kate Remington; Suzanne and her husband Walt Wosko III of West Suffield and their children Zachary and Benjamin Wosko; David and his wife Marilu of Hereford, PA and their children Grace, Matthew, Tyler, and Sarah Lingenfelter; and Scott and his wife Heather of West Suffield and their children Chase Lingenfelter and Joey, Ashley and Taylor Gleason.
His family would especially like to thank his dear friend and co-worker Karen Lyman who became close to Ray and his family during the last 10 years
