Obituary for Sue Ann Nealon (Sheehan)

Sue Ann Nealon, 59, of Suffield, wife of the late William C. Nealon died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Suffield House. She was born August 24,1953 in Baltimore, Maryland; daughter of the late John M. Sheehan and Elizabeth Ann (Winters) Sheehan both of Lancaster County Pennsylvania. Mrs. Nealon lived in Suffield for the last 34 years. Mrs. Nealon was a special education teacher and worked as a teacher for the town of Granby. Mrs. Nealon is well known in the community for her ambitious volunteer work serving in countless community organizations, in and around Suffield. She served in many leadership posts including: President of the Suffield Garden Club, President of the Suffield PTO, Suffield Foundation for Excellent Schools, and serving on the board of Village for Families and Children. She is survived by 5 children, Michael W. Nealon of NYC; Timothy S. Nealon of Suffield; John Patrick C. Nealon of Boston; William S. Nealon and his wife Valerie Saltzman of Monroe, CT; and Sherylanne and her husband Robert Bolasevich of Suffield; 4 siblings, Richard Sheehan, Barbara Segal, Thomas Sheehan, and Elizabeth Nelms, all of Tennessee and her life-long friend and the godmother to her children Diane Wood of New Hampshire. Friends may call to The Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield, on Thursday, July 18 from 5-7:30PM with a Funeral Service starting at 7:30pm. Burial will take place on Saturday, July 20 in Marlboro, Vermont next to her late husband. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to: Suffield Foundation for Excellent Schools Inc.
