Obituary for Dominic N. Vecchiarelli

Dominic N.  Vecchiarelli
Dominic N. Vecchiarelli, 92, of Suffield, husband of the late Jennie (Stahelski) Vecchiarelli passed away on November 29, 2012 with his loving daughter by his side. Born in Longmeadow, MA, son of the late Angelo and Felicia Vecchiarelli and lived in Suffield most of his life. Dominic was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He was employed at Hamilton Standard as a rig operator for jet fuel controls retiring in 1982. Dominic was an active member of the Elks Club in Rockville, CT, the Mt. Carmel Society, and the ITAM Vets. Having 30 good years of retirement Dominic also enjoyed playing golf with his friends, gardening in his yard, skiing, and summers helping at the Bielonko Farm stand. Dominic is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Felicia and Michael Bycenski of Suffield. A sister Lena Martino of RI; two sister-in-laws Frances Vecchiarelli of Longmeadow, and Dorothy Stahelski of Westfield, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his extended family The Ben Bielonko, John Bielonko and James Bielonko Families. He was predeceased by his two brothers Albert and Rocco Vecchiarelli and his two sisters Lucy Vecchiarelli and Susan Harris. Dominic’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank all the caring staff at Heritage Hall – East for the many kindnesses they have shown him over the years. Funeral Services will be Monday, December 3 at the Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road West Suffield, at 9 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church 519 Longmeadow Street, Longmeadow, MA at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Enfield, CT. Friends may call at the Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday, December 2 from 3-6:30 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Suffield Mini Bus 39 Mountain Road, Suffield, CT 06078 or Noble Hospital 115 West Silver Street, Westfield, MA 01086.
