Jan Rajkowski, 89, of Enfield, beloved husband of Stanislawa (Oracz) Rajkowski passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012, in the comfort of his own home with his wife and family by his side. He was born in Poland May 29, 1923, the son of Adam and Walentyna (Tylec) Rajkowski. He came to the United States in 1950 and lived in Windsor Locks for 23 years, moving to Enfield in 1995. Jan was employed at Jacob’s Manufacturing, and retired after 30 years. Jan is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, George Rajkowski of Enfield; Joseph Rajkowski and Patricia Sheehan of Newton, MA; a daughter Mary Rajkowski of Westfield, MA; a sister Helen Dyczkowski of Salem, HN; two nieces Diane Zielinski and Teresa Gaumont; and an extended family in Poland. Funeral services will be Tues.July 31,with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Saint Bernard Church 426 Hazard Ave. Enfield, burial will follow in Saint Marys cemetery, Windsor Locks. Friends may call at The Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday, July 29 from 3-5 p.m.. Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities 839-841 Asylum Ave., Hartford, CT 06105-2801.
