Happy to have had Ron in my life

It's been well over 20 years since I saw Ron, but some of my best memories from my late teens/early 20s involve playing in the Rob Wozniak Trio with he and Ed throughout north central Connecticut. I was a drummer and hooked on with Ron after he saw me play in the high school band. We played a monthly dance at the Hartford Polish Club, and more anniversary parties, weddings and other events than I can remember. Ron was always very generous with me, and those gigs helped defray a lot of college costs. Even today, I find myself thinking back often to my time with Ron and the smiles he'd put on the faces of many when playing classics like The Beer Barrel Polka, Spanish Eyes, and everyone's favorite, The Senior Citizen Polka (which I think may have been a Ron original). I'll miss him and will always be glad he came through my life. My thoughts are with him and his family.

Regards,

Mark Dowd
