Ronald C. Wozniak, 72, of Windsor Locks, formerly of Suffield; husband of the late Dorothy (Lucas) Wozniak; passed away on November 30, 2017 in the comfort of his own home with his family by his side. Born on February 25, 1945, son of the late Chester and Genevieve (Olejarz) Wozniak, and graduated from Suffield Schools.
Ron received his degree from UCONN: Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture, and applied his knowledge to his life’s work The Wozniak Tobacco & Dairy Family Farm, Suffield. He was a lifelong Farmer and Musician, an accomplished Accordion Player and Band Leader in the Ron Wozniak Polka Band through the 1960’s-1990’s. He was a good friend of Bill W for over 40 years, and was passionate about spreading the message of Recovery; Trust God, Clean House and Help Others. He would always make time for a friend.
Ron is survived by his two sons Jim Wozniak of Windsor Locks, John Wozniak of Suffield; daughter-in-law Christine Wozniak of Windsor Locks; and three grandchildren Jessica, Jenna, and Joshua Wozniak all of Suffield; and his companion of over 23 years Ann Marie Zywna of Windsor Locks. He was very close with his dear cat Fluffy and was always sure to keep the neighborhood cats and dogs well fed.
The Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 9, at 10:00AM at the River Valley Fellowship Church, 2 North Road, (Sofia’s Plaza) East Windsor, CT. Please meet directly at church. Calling Hours and A Celebration of Life will held on Friday, December 8, from 4:00-7:00PM at The Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield, CT.
