Lorraine P. Bajek, 85, of Suffield, CT died on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Suffield on September 29, 1930, Lorraine was the youngest child of the late Joseph and Aniela (Stawarsz) Paczosa. She graduated from Suffield High School and recently was happy to have attended her 66th class reunion. Lorraine was married to Gilbert Bajek, who preceded her in death in 1982. Lorraine was proud of her strong work ethic as she retired from United Technologies after 41 years. She enjoyed polka dancing, winter vacations in Florida, as well as her favorite hobby, shopping.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Winter and her husband, Robert, her grandson, John Winter, a special lady, Susan McDermott, her cherished great-grandson, Matthew Winter, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Loraine was pre-deceased by six siblings, John Paczosa, Jean Meleski, Edward Paczosa, Janet Klaus, Amelia Luce, and Edwin Paczosa.


Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Rd., West Suffield. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m prior to the service. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hill St., Suffield.
