Obituary for Walter S. Kulina Jr.

Walter S.  Kulina Jr.
Walter S. Kulina Jr. of Suffield, beloved husband of Lena (Majewicz) Kulina for 67 years, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, NY; son of the late Josephine (Wrzesinski) and Walter Kulina Sr. and lived in Suffield most all his life.
Walter was a self-employed farmer in Suffield all his life. He was a member and past president of the Connecticut Potato Committee and member of the Connecticut Farm Bureau. He was a past member of the Suffield Planning and Zoning Commission. Walter was a communicant and collector at St. Joseph Church, Suffield. Walter enjoyed time with his dogs, taking care of his yard and the occasional Evermore Light.
Besides his wife Lena, Walter is survived by a daughter Katherine Kulina of Suffield; two brothers, Frank and his wife Theresa of Suffield, and Joseph and his wife Rose of Enfield; many nieces and nephews and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was predeceased by a son Walter III, a daughter Joan; two brothers Stanley and Benjamin; and two sisters Helen Lewandowski, and Mary Liss.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 5 at 9AM from The Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church at 10AM. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Poquonock. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 4 from 4-7PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Suffield Volunteer Ambulance, P.O.
