Jan Wiestaw (Stanly) Nowak, 66, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of Marta Nowak for over 38 years, went to the loving hands of our Lord on March 21, 2013. Jan was born in Poland, on September 15, 1946 and came to the United States in 1959 with his parents, brother and sister. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Suffield. Jan was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School, and attended college in Hartford, CT. Jan is a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1969-1971 and was stationed in Germany as a Computer Operator. Jan was employed at Hamilton Standard, in Windsor Locks, for over 33 years and retired in 2012. Jan will be dearly missed. Besides his loving wife, Jan leaves his daughter Anna and her husband Jim Babiarz of Jackman, Maine; and two sons, Robert Nowak of Suffield, and Mark Nowak of Florida; three loving grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Ariel Babiarz; sister Irene and her husband Henryk Brzostek of Windsor Locks; one brother Mark and his wife Marianne Nowak of Windsor Locks; Zofia and her husband Tom King of Middletown; two brother-in laws Zigmont Pudlo and his wife Bozena of Windsor Locks, and Jozef Pudlo and his wife Danuta from Windsor Locks; and many nieces and nephews. Jan was predeceased by his parents Anna and Alexsander Nowak; one brother Wiestaw Nowak; two sisters, Alfreda Dabek and Teresa Markvszka. P.S. We all love you. The funeral services will be Tuesday, March 26, at 9AM from The Heritage Funeral Home 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield; with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Joseph Church 140 South Main Street, Suffield. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may call at The Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, March 25, from 4-7 PM.
